When I put MacBook Pro to Sleep without Outlook still running, the MacBook Pro is cold. When I put MacBook Pro to Sleep with Outlook still running, the MacBook Pro still feels quite warm. When Outlook is running and MacBook Pro is plugged in the gray area between the top of keyboard and screen feels very hot and the fans operate occasionally. Gotomeeting, Zoom, Webex, are NOT running. The 2nd highest % CPU is at 10 and the 2nd highest Aver Energy Impact is at 10. Outlook's % CPU and Energy Impact scores are significantly higher than all other processes, by 75 to over 100 point differences. ![]() Running Outlook for Mac 2016 16.12 (180410) on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 on MacBook Pro (see model name below) whle plugged in spikes % CPU regularly to over 100% and its Average Energy Impact is 85 on Activity Monitor. Is there a way to keep the view when opening a new window (with a message in it) p.s. As a result, I have to press shift-command O all the time to filter again on the Unread e-mails. When opening an e-mail, the view is reset. I'd like to see only the e-mails in my Inbox while not having a preview. ![]() How do I reduce % CPU, Average Energy Impact, and excees laptop heat caused by Outlook for Mac 2016? I'm using Outlook for Mac 16.2 (released 2018).
